I was born in USSR, a country with a spiritual vacum with a strong atheist teaching. I didn't know that God exists. But in my childhood, I heard that I should fear Him and I memorized The Lord’s Prayer my great-grandfather taught me. At that time, it sounded as a good strory from a loving great-grandfather. But what made me seek God was the fact that I was sick. My mother was going to different women, who were pretending that they could heal me, but she didn't manage to see my health improving. I understood that those ladies were lying.

At that time, the communist regime was destroyed and people were seeking something spiritual. I wasn't such a person until the moment when an orthodox priest told me that I can find healing in church. Coming to the church, I started to believe that God, my great-grandfather told me, exists and I was able to learn more.

My grandmother became a Christian at that time and she told me that we get salvation through faith, not through good deeds.

One day I went with her to a Christian meeting. There I understood that I am a sinner and only through faith in Christ’s sacrifice am I saved. Two more years went until I decided to follow Jesus and I have not been sick anymore for many years. But through my disease God made me seek Him.

A few weeks after my decision I understood that God wants me to tell others about Christ. This wish became a reality when I met a Campus Crusade for Christ staff worker who taught me how to share Christ among my colleagues at university. After my graduation, I decided to be a part of Campus Crusade and help people to know God personally.

I was born in a family where people never spoke about God. More than that, my father was an atheist. But somewhere deep inside me, I felt that there is something more than this material world. Ever since I was a child, I liked to read. I heard about an old book, called the Bible and I wished a lot to get a chance to read it.

When I was a teenager, I got a New Testament. I knew that it is a part of the Bible, and I started reading it attentively. Many of the things I was reading weren't clear for me, but I had an assurance that all that is written there is true. God used events in my life in such a way, that I started to believe that He exists.         When I was 18 years old, I believed that Jesus Christ died for my sins and I entrusted my life to Him.  After that I began to hate the sin in my heart.

I was dreaming to do something unusual in this world. When I was a student I met staff from Campus Crusade for Christ (New Life Moldova). I liked the goal of their life to help people to come to Christ and teach them to follow Him. And like them, I decided to invest my life helping people to know God and His plan of salvation.  And now I am one of Campus Crusade’s full-time staff sharing my faith with other people and telling them what God gave us through Jesus. I enjoy sharing the Gospel, because through this I praise my Lord. It was my dream to be happy and I can tell you that I’m definitely happy that I can spend my life in this way. God revealed to me the meaning of life and gave me faith and hope. He filled my heart with love.
